In general, I try and not use names of specific organizations as policy. Nonprofit organizations have enough challenges without people — even good hearted people with potential truths — engaging in talking about the organization’s culture or personnel. Instead, I try and focus on strategy and governance issues that might be prevelant in many charities so people can learn from them. Thus, names are less important that subject.

In the case of Magen David Adom, as it happens, I did write a post and mentioned their name. I did this because their name was already very much in the paper — no way to avoid that. Additionally, I focused on the issues that were being spoken about without actually going into which side might be right.
